Grant Taylor Rules!

The first time I saw Grant Taylor skate was at Tampa Am '04. He was on the deck of a quarterpipe at SPoT. I watched him take a chicken finger out of a McDonalds bag, take a bite, start chewing, drop in while holding the rest of the chicken finger, and backlip a handrail. Since then, he's been my absolute favorite am to watch.

A year later at Am '05, Grant slammed and both of his shoes went flying up into the air. He gathered his shoes and solemnly skated off the course barefoot. Pure entertainment...its in his demeanor. You just gotta see him. Nosegrinds every try down the big rail...and check the frontside flip on the quarterpipe.

He's half my age and I've got a poster of him hanging in my office. Not many ams stand out like Grant nowadays. I've never seen him not skate well. I can't wait to see what the future holds for him.

So here's me lurking on Grant. Maybe it's overkill. Maybe you'll like it. But I did it because he's funny, because he's got style and personality, and because he's talented. But mainly because he's the first and only person I've ever seen to backlip a rail with a chicken finger in hand.
